The asthma awareness programme was organized on May 16th, 2010 in Chennai to launch the educational website www.breathefree.com. To support this cause, Celebrities like Music Director Ramesh Vinayagam, Film Director Chandrasekhar, Film Director Vasanth, Carnatic Singer Dr. Ganesh unveiled the website and also shared their experiences on how they have controlled their asthma.
The event had a gathering of 300 people, out of which few asthmatics shared their experiences on how their lives changed, after adhering to inhalation therapy. The audience were entertained by a skit titled ‘Imsai Arasan Irandam Pulikesiyum’ to educate them on asthma and the right treatment. The script of the skit was written and performed by Cipla respiratory team. The interactive session ‘Mayandi Darbar’ with Dr. G.S.Kailash provided them the platform to have their queries on asthma addressed.
