Need For Some Exercise

When I was a child, I loved sports more than anything. I would play quite often and never faced any issues with my breathing. My first wheezing fit occurred when I was an adult. I remember how horrible it was. My symptoms became worse during the night and I could not sleep because of it.

When the doctor told me that I had asthma, I descended into tears. Inhalers became a part and parcel of my life and I remember how upset I was at having to use it before my wedding day. Winters were even worse and it was during this season that I experienced an exacerbation of my asthma symptoms

At the age of 47, I decided to consult a different doctor and ask for his opinion on my condition. It is necessary to consult a doctor before following exercises or other physical activities as a daily routine. So, I consulted a doctor and he spoke to me about the importance of exercise and how exercise played a major role in the strengthening my body. Also, he mentioned that inhalers must be carried every time before I start exercising.

I took his advice and started to cycle. I carried my inhaler with me everywhere and used it when I had to. With time, I got used to the cycling and made sure to carry my inhaler everywhere with me.

One day, at the insistence of my friend, I participated in a half marathon and surprised myself by completing it in 2 hours and 25 minutes. After this, I started to run regular and completed my first full marathon that year.

Today, running and cycling are a part of my daily workout routine. I've taken part in several running and cycling marathons and have even managed to win some.

With the help of my inhaler and exercise, anything is possible and if I can do it, you certainly can.
